Hello Family,
I have always said I would never say never! You can only repeat yourself so many times til you are blue in the face, and hope your message gets through. But, until you experience something first hand, you don't always get the point. Well, our 2 big girls got into a little trouble over the weekend. They went to a friends house to spend the night. I talked to them at 10:30pm and they were playing on the Wii, and what started as a few friends ended up a few more. Our girls really didn't do anything other kids their age haven't already done. Unfortunately, they learned a real lesson when the police came! Yes, there was some alcohol involved. What separates my girls from most (me included) is they were caught and most never are. Parents were called and all the kids went home. We are thankful no one was hurt. Am I ashamed of them, NO, do I wish it never happened, YES. Back in my day when we all got together on Hunsley Road we were told to pour it out and go home...Times have changed. I love these girls and I am still proud of them for being who they are and what they are all about. I hope they haven't let you down, because family love and support is what we all need. Sorry for such a downer of a Blog:(
I guess like the song says....Blame In On The Al..Al..Al..Al..Al..Alcohol, Blame It on The Al..Al..Al..Al..Al..Alcohol

No need to hang your heads, it's is one of those "STUPID" life lessons, we all have to go thru.
ReplyDeleteHang in there it will all be ok, and they I am sure have truly learned a lesson.

I agree with Suzi, just a stupid life lesson that we all go through. They're really good girls and no one got hurt.
ReplyDeleteWhat was I thinking allowing Linds to take that shot at beau and mist's wedding reception???...look what i've started!! Just kidding....however, on a serious note, glad the girls learned their lesson and that they got home safely. love you!
